Muhannad is a 23 year old currently displaced in Gaza, Palestine with his siblings and grandparents after their house was bombed by the occupation. They are a family of 6 living in a tent, and as the eldest he shoulders the responsibility of caring for them and making sure their basic needs are met.
Muhannad’s family members are Bayan (16), Mohammed (17) Hanadi (20) Malik (1.5) and their grandparents.
This family is in dire need of funds to meet their basic needs of food, water, diapers for Malik, warm clothing and blankets.
They are currently experiencing famine and diapers are $80 per bag. Food has completely run out and they have no money left and no income.
Everything in Gaza is scarce and expensive due to prolonged blockades. Muhannad is prepared to sell his phone, his only means of communication, just to be able to buy food for his family! I don’t want him to have to do this, so he needs our support.
Muhannad is a vibrant, caring, and very funny young man who deserves our support. His monetary goal is small and achievable, just enough to get through the coming winter to provide warmth and food for his family.

Food & Water $2000
Diapers $2000
Winter clothing $1050
Blankets $ 250
Total: $5300 USD = $7475 CAD

Muhannad and his family were displaced again last month to Al-Mawasi. We managed to secure a tent for them but they are still without mattresses or blankets. They are struggling to secure food as their money has tun out.
We are trying to get to 1k in the next round of donations to send him, so they will have enough left after thw withdrawl fees of 45% to buy some food at least.

Note that this campaign is in CAD, and when bank transfers happen, the currency will shift to USD because the Bank of Palestine deals in USD. The exchange rate is hovering between 0.68 and 0.70 this week, so we want to reach the 2k mark to get over 1k USD to send to them. We also account for the fees to withdraw cash in Gaza, which is between 25-30% of the total being withdrawn.
